Libby is a therapeutic wellbeing practitioner and a yoga instructor for women at different stages of life: from pregnancy to postnatal and all the way to the menopause. Her lived experience of navigating each stage without support and knowledge motivated her to empower women physically, mentally and emotionally with yoga, science based information, therapeutic wellbeing and women’s circle discussions so that they are better equipped to face the challenges at each stage in a positive and healthier way.

Her passion to support and inform women at every stage of life is born out of her own experience of motherhood and menopause.

Arriving in London 30 years ago, she became pregnant with her first child. Far from family and friends, she journeyed through motherhood with little support and knowledge nor were there any exercise classes for pregnancy and new mums.  She would have loved the opportunity to meet other new mums like her and do a safe form of exercise. The same thing happened as she journeyed through the menopause. After certifying as a yoga teacher, the lack of support and information she experienced motivated her to specialise in pregnancy, post natal and menopause yoga.

Her degrees in BioMedical Engineering (Bachelor of Science from New York Institute of Technology) & Therapeutic Wellbeing  (Diploma from The Institute for the Arts in Therapy & Education)  give her a solid understanding of anatomy, physiology and neuroscience. These combined with yoga teacher training (200 hour from Integral Yoga) and a foundation in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (University of Oxford Mindfulness Centre) allow her to explain in clear and simple terms the effects of yoga, meditation and breathing techniques on the body and mind.

Libby’s yoga classes are designed to ease the physical symptoms associated with each stage of life. They are also a safe place for women to gather, share experiences and normalise what they are feeling. The women leave Libby’s classes feeling better about themselves and the world around them.

Outside of work, Libby enjoys spending time with her 4 adult children, cooking and going to museums: all of which broaden her perspective on life in general and spark her creativity. Libby is also a life long learner and actively seeks courses, books and podcasts to expand her knowledge of women’s health, yoga and wellbeing. She enthusiastically shares the information in a friendly and easy to understand way through her Instagram account, written article, blogs and speaking engagements on podcasts.

Libby is on a mission to help women understand their body as they journey through the different stages of womanhood. She believes in the power of yoga to improve all aspects of their health and suggests natural remedies to promote wellbeing. Her goal is to make every woman’s journey a healthier, more informed and  a better one.
